How to reset gas meter

The gas meter will shut off the gas (the indicator light will blink) in the following cases:

  • When detecting vibrations such as from an earthquake
  • When detecting a gas leak
  • When there is a decrease in gas pressure
  • When a gas appliance has been used for an extended period
  • When the gas usage increases suddenly

If the light is blinking, please follow the steps below to reset the meter.

  1. 1 Stop using gas appliances

    First, stop using gas appliances and check that there is no smell of gas and no alarm going off.

  2. 2 Press the black reset button on the gas meter

    The "Gas Off" text will disappear, and the characters on the LCD display and the red light will start blinking.

  3. 3 Wait for about 1 minute

    The gas meter will check for any gas leaks, so please wait for 1 minute. After 1 minute, check the gas meter again. If the blinking indicator light has stopped, you can use the gas.
    If the indicator light continues blinking, please contact your nearest service office.
